Please consider donating for repairs to my car.
Ever since getting my license my car has opened up a whole new world to me. I am no longer reliant on others to chauffeur me around. It is invigorating and refreshing to be able to run to the grocery store or to the Dr. on my own. Not to mention being able to drive to St. Louis to see my friends. Now my car needs a new catalytic converter. Now I am on a set income. I don't have anything in savings. I spend everything that comes in every month on a variety of bills, groceries and toiletries(which is my rent to my parents) and the odds and ends that my kids need. I am quite frugal and the kids I only go out about once a month. Twice tops. So this is hitting me hard. I just don't have the funds for this repair. I am asking my friends and family to give how ever they can. My birthday is the 6th of this month so you could consider a donation a birthday gift, or you could or you might consider a donation which will get you a Senora Muertos item in return.
For a donation of $10.00 you will receive one resin skull magnet in your choice of color.
For a donation of $25.00 to $49.00 you will receive either a necklace with resin pendant of your choice or a pair resin pendant earrings or charms or your choice or resin bobby pins or barrettes or your choice or a skull barrette with ribbon of your choice.
For a donation of $50 to $99.000 you will receive either a one of a kind Cordi original painting of either a cat, dog or panda, your choice or a sugar skull with flower colors of your choice.
For a donation of $100 and above you will receive a Day of the Dead skeleton diorama of your choice. I have in the past done cats, dogs, angels, devils, bakers, cowboys, El Corazon (Loteria heart), etc.
I will hand deliver these items to the Metro St. Louis area once my car is repaired and items are done. If out of the Metro St. Louis area please ask about shipping costs.
Another option is you might want to check out my vintage items at https://www.etsy.com/shop/SenoraMuertos.
I want to thank you for considering on helping me with this financial burden. I appreciate and love you all.
To add funds just send to senoramuertos@gmail.com.

Handmade Alley An Indie Craft Podcast
The ladies are venturing together down the internet road of podcasts and decided to talk on a subject they both know well.... crafts and the crafting community! Their first podcast is awesome! It is chock full of advice and tips for both craft show vendors and their customers. It talks about craft show etiquette including the Hierarchy Of Spillage, which is when a customer comes into a booth with a drink or food and tries to set it down or sloshes it around not even considering that it might spill or drip onto the handmade goods that took a lot of time and effort to make. There are some other great tips, like being mindful of your language around your customers and not dropping the f-bomb and that the details of your birth story are probably better reserved for a private setting. The last one goes for customers and vendors alike.
The email address mentioned in the podcast is not correct. Please send emails for Handmade Alley to handmadealleypodcast@gmail.com.
They would love to hear stories relative to their first episode and they are welcoming suggestions for new topics. To hear more of their sound helpful advice and to leave your stories and new topic suggestions go to Handmade Alley and listen to their podcast. Make sure to follow them on Facebook and on Twitter @HandmadeAlley to catch upcoming podcasts.
Thanks!

Facebook's New Fan Page Promotion
So Facebook has come up with a new option for those with fan or business pages to help them promote their businesses. There is a lot of confusion on this as all kinds of information is crawling around the web. My friend Lori Peterson of Lori Peterson Photography shared this link with me which helped to clear it up.
https://www.facebook.com/help/promote
Here is what it says (this is via Facebook from the link above)
If I don't promote my post, will the people who like my page still see it?
Nothing has changed about how your posts are shared with the people who like your Page.
A lot of activity happens on Facebook and most people only see some of it in their news feeds. They may miss things when they’re not on Facebook, or they may have a lot of friends and Pages, which results in too much activity to show all of it in their news feed.
If you don’t promote your post, many of the people connected to your Page may still see it. However, by promoting a post, you’re increasing its potential reach so an even larger percentage of your Page audience and the friends of those interacting with your post will see it.

I was somewhat excited about the possibility of being able to promote giveaways or upcoming craft shows. Well that is not a possibility yet for me. Seems you have to at least 400 likes in order to promote. So I am going to be on a campaign to get more likes. If you haven't liked my Facebook page yet please do so.
I hope this clears up some of the confusion out there. I am not totally thrilled by this change, but I am hoping maybe the promotion campaign might help.
